The highland market located in Dong Van Town, Ha Giang Province is regularly held every Sunday morning. This is place for many ethnic groups from H’Mong, Dzao, Tay, or Han. People gather here and trade all local products they have. One of indispensable specialty in the fair is “Ruou Ngo” (a kind of wine made from corn).

From early morning, the streets are crowded with hundreds of people flocking to the fair. Until about 7am, the fair is very busy. The goods in here are quite various…

Corn wine of Ha Giang people is known as wine of the H’Mong minority. As the wine is made from local corn and a kind of traditional leaf ferment, it has sweet flavor and unforgettable to many visitor coming here.
